About Us

Access Further Education Limited (‘The College’) has subsidiary companies, trading names and trading partnerships through which it operates. The trading names and partnerships might have their own names or brands, but the legal entity for the purpose of this policy is Access Further Education Limited. Trading subsidiaries, trading names and trading partnerships include Access Creative College (‘ACC’), National College for Creative Industries (‘NCCI’) and Access Sport.

Access Creative College (Access Further Education Limited) is registered as a Data Controller with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Our registration number is Z7480437.

Scope

This Privacy Notice Summary is applicable to all learners funded under the Access Further Education Limited funding agreement with the Education and Skills Funding Authority (ESFA), acting as an executive agency of the Department for Education (DfE). This includes learners with Access Creative College, Access Sport, The dBs Institute and all relevant external subcontractors. Apprentices engaged on an apprenticeship via the National College for Creative Industries (NCCI) presented by Access Creative College programme are also in scope of this Privacy Notice Summary, including where funded by ESFA funding, Apprenticeship Levy-funded apprenticeships, or employer funded apprenticeships.


Purpose

We collect and process your personal data to effectively manage your learning and to meet our contractual and statutory obligations as a provider of education and skills. We will also use your data to provide you with information we feel is relevant to you as you study with us, such as career opportunities, further education and events.


Data storage

Your information is kept safe and is securely destroyed after it is no longer required for the purposes it has been collected for. We need to retain some personal data for audit purposes from our funding providers. Most of the time we are required to hold this for 6 years after the end of your final academic year. If your provision has been match funded with ESF (European Social Fund) funding, this data will be kept until at least 31.12.2030. Further information on our retention periods is available on request from the Data Protection team.
